About Chariot Clothing
CHARIOT was established as a clothing brand for wheelchair users. We designed and made a range of trousers which enhanced the lives of those who live life to the full, in a sitting position.
Since then, we have seen a huge interest in our brand. With concern for the environment we noticed our consumers also wanted to avoid fast-fashion. We decided to create a stylish range of sustainable clothing which suits people who love living their best lives, with or without wheelchairs!
We want to have a one-stop shop which promotes inclusivity, activity, adventure, and sustainability in a stylish and fun manner.
Inspired by the outdoors and kind to nature
Inspired by our natural surroundings, the artwork is designed in Cork. Mindful of the impact that fast fashion has on our plant we work with local suppliers to source quality clothing made from sustainable materials. Much of our clothes contain organic cotton, regenerated cotton, recycled polyester or even bamboo. These resources are gentler on earth. And yes, our packaging is also 100% biodegradable.
We promote sustainability before and after your purchase
When the time comes, and you want to break up with your clothes, consider your options:
- Bring it to a second-hand shop, many of these shops support local charities. Swap it with a friend.
- Bring it to your local clothes bank where it can be repurposed.
- And if you have completely worn it out, check the label, if it's made from 100% organic cotton (which many of our clothes are) it can be placed in your compost to make fertile soil.
Follow us on our journey as we continue to provide a range of sustainable clothing that is suitable for all.
